CHRIS EVANS

The founder of Commodity Execution, Chris has over 15 years of experience in Commodity Markets in Europe and North America, leading teams in technology and as a COO for Barclays Commodities. As Americas COO Chris was responsible for global management of the groups balance sheet and regulatory capital resources. Chris also took a cross asset class leadership role for the business management function in delivering Barclays' global response to derivative markets regulatory reform.

 

NARSIMHA MISRA - Advisor

With over 20 years experience in commodities, Narsimha has previously held leadership roles in firms including Pacific Summit Energy, Bank of America, Barclays Capital and Enron. Most recently, Narsimha led the successful acquisition a portfolio of 40mw of utility scale solar assets in India.

 

GABRIEL RUSU

Gabriel is a senior project manager with over 15 years experience in technology and financial markets. His commercial focus is on Commodities (power, natural gas, metals, crude oil and custom index) and Operations (pre-trade support, documentation, reference data). Gabriel has led high-profile projects at global investment banks and energy merchants including driving the technical and business implementation of a new trading desk with around-the-clock operational concerns in the North American power markets.

 

PAUL SIMMONS

Leading our team in Houston, Paul is an ETRM/CTRM specialist with 20 years’ experience working in the Commodities units of Barclays Capital, JP Morgan, Occidental Petroleum Corp and Repsol. During his career, Paul has been a key driver in the successful delivery of a range of business critical projects. Paul forges strong cross functional relationships, leveraging his commercial knowledge to define, capture & analyze PnL & Risk processes for both Financial & Physical trading in Crude, LNG & Natural Gas. Paul is familiar with implementing, integrating & upgrading both 3rd Party and proprietary ETRM/CTRM systems including: Allegro, Algo, Endur, IRFE, Kapital, Murex, SRA & Swapswire.

 

CHRIS ROGERS

Chris brings deep financial and physical commodity trading experience in both managing risk and structured transaction solutions. Through his 15 year career, Chris has established and led global trading desks and has held roles with Morgan Stanley, Louis Dreyfus Highbridge, and Freepoint Commodities.

 

JOE LAZORIK

A CFA charterholder beginning his career in valuation and financial control, Joe has developed and led control teams in Europe and the US responsible for supporting Crude Oil & Refined Products, Power & Gas, Coal & Freight and Emissions businesses. Joe has also both supported and led the execution of significant financing transactions. 

 

           VISHAL APTE - Advisor

An advisor to Commodity Execution. Vishal has over 20 years experience trading, managing risk and deal-making in global commodity markets. Vishal held Managing Director positions at BNP Paribas, Barclays & American Electric Power.

 

MICHELE HILEY

Leveraging over 15 years expertise in trading sales and business management from private and public sectors, Michelle is an acknowledged change agent with a proven track record solving complex commercial and management challenges. Michelle has developed and executed strategies for a foundational trading desk focused on non-asset backed proprietary trading in US & Canadian Power markets. As the Americas COO for a large cross asset class platform, Michelle has developed & managed the trading operations of a business complex unit.

 

DANIEL McELDUFF

Dan has over 25 years of experience working in diverse roles at commodity exchanges, commodity dealers and future commission merchants.  His exchange experience includes business development, product development, marketing, compliance and operations at an established exchange (NYMEX) and a startup (ELX).  Dan has served in senior compliance roles at major commodity dealers and futures commission merchants.  He has broad experience with major CFTC initiatives including the Commodity Futures Modernization Act and the Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act (“Dodd-Frank”).

 

ALEXANDRA GUEST

In her 20+ years as a legal/compliance professional, Alex has served in a wide range of roles in the commodities and futures industry, including as the Chief Compliance Officer for Barclays Capital Inc. (FCM), the Global co-Head of Compliance for Barclays Commodities, a consultant on the Legal and Risk Management teams at HSBC, Regulatory Counsel to a large private investment office, Senior Counsel (Compliance) for LDH Energy and the Louis Dreyfus group of companies and as a corporate securities lawyer with Kramer Levin (in its Energy, New Media and Financial Services practice groups). 

Early in her career, Alex worked for the United Nations  and was a Press Secretary and senior legislative and political advisor to several ministers in the Canadian House of Commons.  She has degrees from Queen's University, Oxford University (Wadham College) and the University of Toronto (Faculty of Law).  Alex has  served for many years as an officer of the Futures Industry Association's Law & Compliance Executive Committee and as a member of exchange disciplinary committees and the National Futures Association’s Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) Committee.

DAVID STACK

Leading our European operations, David is a successful author, mentor and teacher with 28 years in Commodities managing trading operations and building risk management solutions, with 25 of those years in Emerging markets, LatAm, CIS, Africa and East of Suez.

Having held senior positions at Barclays Capital, Bunge, Louis Dreyfus Commodities, Enron and British Petroleum, David has extensive cross asset class trading and structured derivatives experience (Natural Gas, Electricity, Agricultural Products, Crude Oil & Refined Products). David has also worked extensively with private equity and venture capital on new business development and conducted a wide variety asset due diligence projects.

 

STEVE HOLMES

With over 25 years of Commodities risk management & trading experience, Steve has both established and lead the risk management function for a leading multi-asset class, global commodities franchise. He has overseen the development of a Commodity wide risk management capability, developing a programme of stress testing using full revaluation scenario matrices that allowed for sophisticated analysis of price and volatility curve moves in addition to identification of more complex risks. As a member of senior management team he has been central in establishing strategic cross organization business approval control initiatives and extensive senior level interactions with regulatory bodies including PRA, FCA, Federal Reserve, SEC and CFTC
